ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIRM
The firm is a black, female owned practice and is owned by Mrs N C Chiba who has been in practice for the past twenty-six years and is the sole proprietor of the firm.
The firm was established in 2005 where Mrs Chiba was the senior partner of the firm Chiba and Tourapi Attorneys and Conveyancers since its inception. The firm has now changed ownership to a sole proprietor, Mrs Chiba and is now CHIBA ATTORNEYS.
The firm has also entered into an association with McMaster Engelbrecht Inc. for notarial and conveyancing services.

Natasha Claudia Chiba
Owner
Mrs Chiba received her High Court right of Appearance on the 16 th March 2006. Mrs Chiba has been in practice since 1996 when she commenced her articles of clerkship with Satch Govender Attorneys in Germiston where she obtained her criminal law experience. She then ceded her contract of articles to the late Mr. A. Xenophontos and gained experience in commercial law, civil litigation and furthered her experience in criminal law.
Donna Engelbrecht
Associate
Donne Engelbrecht is a dynamic, driven Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer having been admitted as all three in 2018. She is well versed in Transfers and Bonds in respect of movable and immovable property, cession of rights, usufruct, servitudes, subdivision, consolidation and dealing with sectional titles. Mrs Engelbrecht is brilliant at problem solving and enjoying taking on new challenges whether working independently or in a team.
Linda McMaster
Associate
Linda Mcmaster is a well seasoned Attorney and Conveyancer. She has earned her stripes in the Conveyancing world with 20 years of experience under her belt.She has an extensive knowledge base in dealing with Transfer of all nature's, Bonds, developments and deceased estates. She is hands on, be it if she is working independently or in a team and she is always willing to go the extra mile for a client.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND PRO BONO WORK
In keeping with our social responsibilities, we have regularly assisted clients on a pro bono basis including assisting correspondent attorneys who were acting for a client on a pro bono basis.

Such instructions are always accepted and we offer these clients and their matters the same attention as we do to clients who pay for our services.

We have adapted our offices and the manner in which we attend to our work in order to become Covid compliant.
In this regard, we have:
Placed signage at our entrance to enforce adherence to sanitising;
Masks are optional but preferable to be worn at all times by clients or messengers attending at our offices as well as staff;
A sanitizing station at the entrance to our offices;
A screen protector on our reception desk;
A screen protector on our boardroom table;
A register to be completed by anyone attending at our offices.
